Podcast Connect connecting Advertisers to Podcasters

Today I say an article written that was giving certain companies accolades in the podcast media space, who are reaping the rewards for some of the work we have done here over the last year. To not get any credit is wrong, I will be honest sometimes I wonder if the editors of these articles have done their homework and actually know who is moving ad deals for podcasters.
There are only a few companies that have been consistently successful in executing podcast ad campaigns and putting real dollars in podcasters pockets, and we are one of them. Since May of 2005 Podcast Connect has been delivering ad campaigns for various companies and we know we have a formula that works.
Our ad inventory is sold, and our podcasters are getting paid this is what counts in the end. My second company RawVoice is having equal success at the Podcaster News Network having just finished a campaign for the USA Network, and with our imminent launch of some new product offerings we are set to bring into play aggregation of podcasters in a much larger way.
All I can do is continue to be the advocate I have, and make sure that we continue to deliver the goods for our advertising partners.

Why Podcast Networks Work

I have seen several post from podcasters that think the Podcast Network model is not going to work, and I have to laugh, the reason I have to laugh is because we have been tracking along pretty darn well. I kinda lost count on the number of deals I have put together but advertisers are coming back and the audience sizes keep growing so we must be doing something right. If it is not obvious why banding together is not a good idea then obviously you don’t know a great deal about typical podcast audience sizes.
Over the next 9 months though I will be focusing a lot on the content of those we align with because you don’t grow market share without good content. Needless to say I am pretty excited about our long overdue site that we have cooking hopefully I will be able to share the details in the next few weeks.
Meanwhile I will keep on making sure that the podcasters that are doing the work get paid.

ShowUsYourCharacter Campaign

RawVoice the parent company of the Podcaster News Network (www.podcasternews.com) announce today that select network shows at PCN are starting a one month promotion, for the “USA Network”, to promote a very hip program called ShowUsYourCharacter, which can be found at (www.showusyourcharacter.com).

It was my pleasure today to provide you with my book on Podcasting, as a walk away gift from the podcast media presentation you attended today, it is my goal to give you a lasting insight beyond the presentation into the world of Podcasting. The first chapter captures the essence of the media evolution and makes you realize the power of walk away content.
Over the next several years people are going to become more empowered by the tools they carry, they will not only be consumers of media but also producers of media, being able to report live from any event on the planet through technology once reserved to the mainstream media.

CES Shows in Progress

Both myslef and Andy McCaskey from Slashdot Review are in the thick of it here at CES and have posted three podcasts each on the coverage. We will have a lot of post show commentary and interviews that need editing. But thus far the number of downloads of each of our shows are seeing record traffic.
